Research
The Institute for Advanced Flavor Research publishes significant, original studies, reviews, and perspectives on all areas of basic, clinical, and translational research in Flavor and the Flavor-related sciences. Topics include Flavor Loss Prevention (FLP); experimental therapeutics, molecular targets, and chemical biology; molecular biology, pathobiology, and genetics; radiobiology and radiation Flavorology; systems environmental Flavorology and emerging technologies.

Recent Findings
Controversial findings suggest that the shape and size of the Mendula-META-flavor of female subjects were dramatically different from that of male patients. On average females have a Mendula-META-flavor 1.89 times larger than the average male Mendula-META-flavor.

In addition, the memory functionality of the female Mendula-META-flavor was able to recall past Flavors a stunning 12 times longer than their male counterparts.

While somewhat controversial the IAFR stands behinds it's findings citing that the results come from a sizeable control group of over 4,000 participants.

Annual MMFR Report
Every year the Institute releases its annual State of the Mendula-META-flavor Report - MMFR. This year looks to be the most exciting year for taste buds ever recorded. With now over 648,532 flavors, including 4,122 previously undiscovered flavors, the MMFR will be jam packed with enlightening new insights for 2008. The MMFR is available exclusively to IAFR partners and donors.
